Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. The handles do not come with a locking mechanism that can be activated with a key. To use the Camco Fold Away Grab Handles, simply lift them up to their perpendicular position (90 degrees), and they will click securely into place. When not in use, the Grab Handle easily lifts and rotates to lay flat against the side of the RV. Kid regards, the Suncoast Caravan Service team.
