Dometic SEITZ has designed a huge range of tilting roof windows (“Heki” for short) for all types of caravans or motorhomes.

    Our van is fitted with these Dometic Mini Heki plus sky lights or what ever you call them ( fitted in roof , open and close from inside van ) , and have noticed on one of them , there looks like piece of string stuff with a metal joiner type fitting attached hanging out one side/bottom . Does that mean the internal cover/ blind/fly screen unit is buggered or can we just replace the piece of string. Don't know what the strings purpose is , but am sure you can enlighten me . Thanks for your help and advice. Regards, Richard.
