Local Caravan & RV Legend – Double Island Point

Double Island Point

25 June 2018

Frequently we find ourselves on a day trip or weekend adventure up to Double Island Point or as locals say ‘D.I’ a coastal headland just north of the Sunshine Coast. Head across the barge at Noosa River (via Tewantin) and out to the beach and travel north into the Cooloola Section of the Great Sandy National Park.
Along the way there are multiple camp spots, (although the beach access is not quite suitable for all caravans) and permits are required.
There is plenty to do from fishing and four wheel driving to swimming and snorkelling. Hayden has spent quite a bit of time up there of late and has been taking footage to share of some of the great spots plus some under water video. We hope you enjoy another local legend of the Sunshine Coast and Great Sandy National Park.
