Gen-Y Hitch SHIM Anti Rattle Hitch Receiver Stainless Steel Shims 4 Pack. The internal dimensions (ID) of some recent vehicle hitch receivers can fluctuate by a few millimetres for no apparent reason other than the tube stock quality used Original Equipment Manufacturer. Gen-Y Hitch found that their CNC cut (accurate) hitches can at times have some play in these odd sized receivers. The ideal scenario would be for you to replace the receiver tube on your truck to be accurate but that is not always possible short or long term. Gen-Y Hitch designed these Stainless Steel shims to be a stop-gap for this problem. The Shims will work for both 2″ and 2.5″ receiver tubes.
